Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox had studied for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s was accepted. Lennox was able to live with the stipend she received from her students while working part time jobs. Lennox decided to change her profession after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience and lack of talent the same way as others Royal Academy students. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. She quit the group prior to their appearance on I.T.V's talent show New Faces. She was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. This is where she first came across Dave Stewart with whom she formed the pop duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva which was released in 1992. It was a massive critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs most loved soul jazz and blues tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. is a companion piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled Now I Let You go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25, 1954. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 contains cover versions of songs like No MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale.
